A Special Interactive Awareness Program for G. C. E. (O/L) Students and their Parents

The Education Committee of the Old Boys’ Association (OBA) successfully organized an Interactive Awareness Program for Grade 11 Students and their parents on 07th March 2016 at the College premises. More than 50 students and their parents were present in this special and unique program which started at 8.30 a.m. and went up to 12.30 p.m.

The main session was conducted by well-known resource person Mr. Hanan Hussein, Chairman of Muslim Foundation for Community Development (MFCD), an old boy of HAH, under the title “I’m ready for the Exam”. His interactive session covered many topics including,

  • Creating and maintaining supportive Parent-Children relationships
  • Providing a stable, supportive time table for studies to prepare for G.C.E. (O/L) Examination
  • Identifying psychological affects that a student could face due to various issues, and
  • Parents’ support to children to engage in more productive time in studies.

After the main session, the parents and their children were divided into 3 groups and ushered for special panel discussion to address identified issues collected through evaluation form. This model is specially designed and developed by Trainers’ Club for the students who will sit for G.C.E. (O/L) students and for their parents. The evaluation process carried out by a team under the guidance of J. A. Sirajul Anam, NLP Practitioner, the Founder of Trainer’s Club and also an old boy of the HAH.

The Education Committee has planned to conduct many interactive session in future for all other grades in the school, creating a new learning culture at school and at home.
